A fresh batch of skins and emotes makes its way into the Item Shop, undeterred by fiery reactions from players. Lewis Hamilton is back for whatever kind of event, and the Summer Shop, Inkville Gang, and Battle Ready emotes show their faces again. And yeah. Players really aren’t having any of it.
Let’s first break down what really is being put in the Item Shop. Then the F1 legend debuts his second appearance (called third, depending on order). Then, you have the Summer Shop which has appeared like four times by now. Inkville Gang? One time. And Battle Ready? Seven. Freaking. Times.
Now, you’d think that, after the umpteenth repetition, Epic may get a clue that maybes players want something new. Well, um, no. The replies to the announcement tweet hold an amalgam of frustration, sarcasm, and outright bewilderment.
One player, @Soulbound_TV, jokingly commented, “Battle Ready (7x) sounds like a warning not a feature 😂”. And honestly? That’s the mood. Another user, @F1elite33, flatly declared, “Another complete L shop ..lol what is happening they’re that bad.”
Well, the drama? Gamers are begging for other skins to be brought back. For 14 days, @J_snorlax has been requesting the return of Shaq. @HeavenIsforAll_ has questioned whether Ash Williams and the T-800 were blacklisted. @lazarus_wolf is just out here for Snake Eyes.
Now @RageAgainstMac2 is out there going against everyone in the replies. He called one person a “sweat bot” and told another “Awe princess gonna cry because Fortnite doesn’t give a fuck about them”-this guy does not hold back.
@Mccall2746062 decided to drop some shade: “Shiina trying to hype up these shops 💔” followed by a crying emoji. And are we really feeling these vibes?
Now, why repeatedly throw the same thing into the shop? Like @lolbrandon_ said best, “They could’ve brought Billie Eilish over this.” Now, we’re all sitting here wondering when the shop is going to finally put out some goodwill for the players.
Some say these really good skins are being saved for some big event; until then, however, it’s Lewis Hamilton (again), Battle Ready (seventh time), and a whole community of disappointed cries.

The statement from the community so far is: Give us something new. Or at least… something other than Battle Ready doing its eighth appearance.
For those few who did actually want this stuff, well, congrats, y’all have the whole shop. For the rest of us, it’s gonna be wait and tweet and cross our fingers.
