Fortnite Competitive has posted a very thrilling photo on Twitter, and literally everyone in the community is going mad. Smash that keyboard or scream about it in caps! The only real tweet was a rather simple caption reading “This photo is just so good!” with a link to the image; but the replies? Chaos!
The image features what appear to be some of the highest-ranked players in that scene, and many fans called it “goated” (“greatest of all time” for the unfamiliar). One user, Lilcapper, says, “This photo will become goated,” and indeed, they may very well be right! Just this one image is loaded with energy, like a freeze frame capturing a pure moment in competitive Fortnite history.
Well, things went really wild there. Instead of celebrating the artistry, half of the replies are begging for FNCS pickaxe codes. Desperation incarnate! “Give me a fncs picaxe code pls 🙏,” pleads Adrian. Another player, Eric Ananmalay, delivers the classic comeback, “good enough for me to get a pickaxe code?” Bruh. The audacity. The shamelessness. It’s a beauty.
MOA basically proposes an ultimatum: “pls i need pic. fncs 🫶🏼.” And then Yuka came out swinging: “bless me with a code i can explain why i deserve in dms.” Alright, we see you, shooting your shot.
There have been some pretty sincere riddles, too. PVP Bomber asks: “Can we have old movement animations in OG plz,” because, of course, the nostalgia just had to show up. Meanwhile, Qassor12 continues with the third day of their campaign for Zero Build Cash Cups Solos. Persistence, I guess.
And the best part? The completely random side conversations. Muhammad Ali (not the boxer, undoubtedly) goes back and forth with another about “two millionaires who don’t give a fuck,” and then we have the whole French gang-back-and-forth where ZeredFN is like, “Tkt je suis pas fou mais merci 😉👌” (translation: “Don’t worry, I’m not crazy but thanks 😉👌”). Just… peak randomness.
But doing proper justice to yoxic, a.k.a. yoxic, who dropped the best caption for the vibes: “A photo you can hear.” And really? Yeah. The competitive energy, the clout, the pure vibes just radiate overwhelmingly.
What, then, to take home? Fortnite competitive is still very much alive, loud, and rabid in the best way possible. The daring reputation for codes or rants on game mechanics, or hardly coincidentally—the photo itself—is never as far from amusing as would be the case today. Now excuse us for another staring at this pic while pretending we have what it takes to actually compete.
(And for the record: Epic, if y’all are listening… hook us up with a code? Just saying.)
