Our very good friends of the Control universe might enjoy a little hype over this. The Federal Bureau of Control is back with some newly mind-bending paranormal disasters in the newly dropped gameplay trailer of FBC: Firebreak. And yes, you heard that right-ghost sticky notes are now a thing. Because why not?
This trailer came rapidly running through the web like a psychic shockwave, giving a solid sneak peek into this latest extension into the weird and wonderful world of Control. As mentioned above, FBC: Firebreak is day one into the Game Catalog, so you don’t have to wait for the round to start with the mind-bending, reality-bending activities
Haunted sticky notes-what gives? In what looks to be the aforementioned trailer, agents–again, most probably Jesse Faden–deal with objects that have their opinions about things.
Papers are sliding back and forth in invisible style, office supplies are disobeying orders, and wouldn’t you know it? It seems that sticky notes have developed a taste for mischief. This is classic Remedy Entertainment, taking the mundane and making it horrifying.”
Gameplay always looked that sharp and feels seamless, with all that glory experienced back in the third-person shooting mechanics of Control, along with new environmental hazards that feel just like ripped from an SCP Foundation nightmare. More of that brutalist architecture, more talking in the dark, more guns that bend reality-why not?
And here’s the kicker-it currently has no release date. The trailer just says “coming soon,” which is the first gameplay carrot suspended from a stick. But if you connect the dots along with the day-one drop into the Game Catalog, we probably aren’t waiting too long. Shadow drop? Little surprise “available now” at any upcoming event? Who knows with Remedy and their theatrics.
And Alan Wake? Bad news-there’s nothing about a crossover teased here (although, frankly, we are all waiting for it). This looks pure FBC, going deeper into the Bureau’s lore and probably answering absolutely zero questions while raising a dozen more. Classic.
For now, all we can do is replay that trailer, wildly speculate, and maybe stash away some sticky notes…just in case they start moving around by themselves.
So, who is ready to head back to the Oldest House? Seems like the FBC hasn’t rung the old rotten building dry just yet.
