Publisher No More Robots has announced the release date for Fashion Police Squad, a stylish retro shooter from the Mopeful Games development team. The game will be released on August 15 on the digital platforms Steam (a demo is available for review) and the Epic Games Store. The release of console versions is expected later. Specific platforms have not yet been disclosed. In the humorous retro shooter, players such as Sgt. Des will have to contend with baggy pants, dull suits, and sandal socks in Trendopolis. The hero will have specialized weapons in his arsenal, including a Tailormade sewing machine. The Fashion Police Squad has been mobilized because things aren't quite so "devious" in Trendopolis. Baggy pants, yellow suit, socks with sandals?! Something goes wrong, so the Fashion Police Squad takes the Justice Strip and makes sewing machines, and some of those lost souls move on to Vera Wang's fashion sense. The fashion Police Squad is a first-person shooter with a twist - you don't hit your targets but instead, show them nonviolently how to sit and look beautiful if it's Calvin Ann Caledon. But every modern crime needs to be dealt with differently, so you'll have to keep changing weapons and figuring out on the spot which utility is associated with which crime. Can you lighten their worn-out suit with the Jimmy Choo-C2DYE4 Elite Carabiner or zip-up those vintage pants? Fashion Police Squad is a first-person "shooter" with a twist -- you don't hurt your targets, but instead, nonviolently show them how to get a better fit and come out looking gorgeous... if they're so Calvin en-Klein, of course.
