When you think of battle royale games, there are a couple that stand out amongst the rest. One of those has to be Apex Legends by Respawn Entertainment. It made a huge splash in the battle royale space back in 2019 thanks to its realistic visuals and action.

Where Fortnite has a more cartoonish vibe with a lot of other activities besides just combat, Apex Legends puts running and gunning at the center. Even to this day, it’s one of the best games of this genre. It has even received a lot of updates as of late. Respawn Entertainment has made the game a top priority, so much so that they’re holding off on another Titanfall game.

It seems like Electronic Arts is all in on this game as well. According to a recent financial earnings call, the publisher plans on introducing this game on new platforms. This would give a whole new audience the chance to experience what Apex Legends has to offer.

EA has its sights set on the mobile marketplace for starters. Mobile gaming has never been more popular today. Gamers spend a lot of time on the go, whether it’s getting to work or traveling to school. These traveling experiences present the perfect opportunities for gaming.

Apex Legends coming to the iOS and Android marketplace would be incredible to see. Fortnite has already made the jump to mobile gaming and with a lot of success. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for Apex Legends to see similar success.

There are so many gamers today that truly love playing on the go. Respawn will just need to make sure they make this transition smoothly as to keep its loyal fans happy.

That’s not all. Electronic Arts also wants to unveil Apex Legends on the latest consoles from Microsoft and Sony. This is a brilliant strategy on their part. You could bet that these consoles are going to jump off the shelves as gamers want to experience the latest and greatest works from these two industry icons.

Having Apex Legends on these latest consoles just exposes the title even more, which Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are hoping for. It would give them enough push to do some pretty incredible things with this competent battle royale game.

If you haven’t had the chance to play this game, it’s completely free and is now on its Season 3 update.
