The hype has gotten so late that another cryptic teaser by FromSoft has already been dropped for Elden Ring: Nightreign. The tweet goes, “Weave a path of steel and fire through the eventide monsters. And seal the Night’s fate, once and for all,” thus granting crazy art and fresh pre-order links to the hungry public. While the devs amuse themselves with their poetic antics, fans are going bonkers trying to figure out—where is everybody else?
Pre-orders might be open, but the comments have some of the most active conflicts between impatience and speculation. A user, GHOSTBLOCK, called out the devs, like, “Isn’t this like… The third Wylder trailer you’ve put out now??” And honestly? Good. He is right; Wylder has been in every trailer, every net test; at this point, players want some-anything-new.
The frustration stands strong against Wylder. Lying hidden at the bottoms of the reply scheme, there is a raging debate about other unexplained characters. Some feel Revenant, considered an unlockable fighter, is kept a secret on purpose. Others still hold out hope for Executor, a character that has been teased but never truly revealed. “They’re gonna release the 2 most anticipated characters last minute,” says Wally Wibbles with just the right blend of irritated and resigned.
Next order of discussion: the DLC. MrLama wonders about the golden question, “Can anyone tell me what the DLC for Nightreign is about? Asking before I preorder.” The answer? Vague at best. TakSan assures, “more Nightfarers, Nightlords, and possibly SOTE weapons,” but really, who the hell knows, with FromSoftware being FromSoftware?
One thing hot at present- Elden Ring Nightreign is just a week away, and the fandom is buzzing tiredly with anticipation (and a little bit of frustration). Just ready like DragonHeartz, “Got 1 more week to go fellas 🔥.” While Super Human Epoch is bored enough, “Can’t wait for you to finally release this title and announce the next actual souls project.”
So yeah, the pre-orders have up, the last trailers are out, and theories have gone wilder. Will the long-awaited reveal of Executor come to fruition before launch? Or will Revenant stay hidden? Who knows what is happening with that DLC? Only time-well, and maybe one last chaotic trailer-will tell.
For now, it’s all going to wait, speculate, and possibly precede with pre-ordering until the Night’s fate is sealed forever.
