Diablo 4 concept art has surfaced freshly out of Blizzard and sent fans into a frenzy – not just because it looks dramatically excellent, but this latest sampling is Hell in glory, gory glory. Let’s just say it’s nothing you’d want to book a vacation for.

The image is now circulating on Twitter and offers a mere glimpse at what awaits players as they make their way down to the fiery pits at the release of Diablo 4: rivers of blood, ebony spires that seem jagged enough to impale oneself, and tortured souls enough to fill a stadium; your classic Diablo vibe turned up to eleven.

What’s insane is just how much Blizzard manages to stuff into this nightmarish concoction. The lighting gives the impression that the air itself burns while the architecture is pure demon Pinterest. If stills look like this for Hell, running through here with hellspawn nipping at your heels while praying your potions last would have to be something else entirely.

So, the thing: Blizzard did not bestow any additional info with the art. Release dates, hints, lore deep dives… just Hell. And with that, honestly? Perfect. Diablo has always been an atmospheric game, and that is a tease done just right. The fans were not in the least bit anxious for all that fluff. They know it’s gonna be something really, really brutal.

The thing is, the comments section is… well, strangely empty. Generally speaking, practically within seconds the comments would pour into any Blizzard post. Blabbermouths might have just stopped there, staring blankly at the art, or perhaps they’re too busy grinding necromancer. What ever the reason, the deafening silence, or lack thereof, is actually an otherworldly kind of silence… more of the type before one of those boss fights.

Diablo’s fourth-born could be standing much too close to the fire while Blizzard should also be. Everything they have shown so far oozes the dark, gothic style trademark which series and now take to the next generation. If the actual game looks anything like it, we will not be disappointed.

Well, here we go, yet another W for the hype machine that Blizzard is dragging across. No release date mentioned, but who needs it with sights this hot? Literally.
