Regarding cyberspace and ghosts, fans have found Cyberpunk 2077 to be such a roller-coaster experience. But the good news is that the community brought V home into the game with everyone super excited. That pretty warmth is further illustrated with picturesque lines of brilliant fan art from the talented artist @krusekis.
Fans shower their affection and admire V, the game’s principal character, manifesting a strong bonding of players with the complex world aptly cutting across Night City.
The tweet has produced a number of discussions, a number of players having their opinions about the current and future content of the game. User @malvathio did not pull any punches either, straight out asking whether it was “true” that there was going to be a second DLC. They commented that player retention seems on the strong side and hypothesized that it would make perfect sense if the developers kept expanding the game.
It’s really interesting to see how players crave more content, particularly in a game that is so detail-oriented and ambitious as Cyberpunk 2077.
On the other hand, the ever-so-influencing tweet of @MetalManGG referenced Friday’s expected craziness, saying simply: “It’s Friday, why…?” This is funny, as it shows how players twine their expectations and guesswork at the same time hold out a finger to tease game developers. Humor is probably the best medium to express community feelings without dragging them too heavily!
Meanwhile, a great deal of to-and-fro was happening between users about the story: @fantastixue was extraordinarily outspoken in saying all the storylines lead to extremely bad endings. This sentiment came through in numerous replies on how the storied doesn’t seem to stand very well against other previous games by the same developers. User KozbiaF jumped in with a counterargument that, indeed, the moral of the story is to reflect the hopelessness of life in Night City.
It is certainly refreshing to see how some fans are excited to debate these elements of storytelling, showing just how much they are willing to go into the game’s content.
In one beautiful, touching reply, @missmetaverse captured the perfect essence of community in gaming: “Family isn’t just blood-it’s who opens their door when you have nowhere else to go ❤️.” It is definitely a line to remind just everyone that gaming is about the bonds and friendships culled from journeys taken in the virtual realm. And it is these personal touch points that add richness and meaning to gaming.
Of course, there were some lively to-and-fros such as a bout fought between @fantastixue and @KozbiaF to discuss what game mechanics could have been better done. The two were, however, showing different angles to the debate-the distance between them was clear of how serious arguments were likely to be for fans-as over an issue worthy of discussion.
User @jackNsocks did praise @krusekis’ artistry in fan art by stating, “Awesome artwork 🫂🎨,” to show just how art touches and manages to unify fans with simple expressions. Indeed, simple recognition such as this can greatly brighten up a creator’s day and encourage them to produce more.
As far as mixed reviews go, one thing can be said for sure: Cyberpunk 2077 has created a frenzied community. From fan art to plot discussions to good-natured, spirited banter, players are life-willingly kept involved.
The future, as it appears, is glowing with possibilities for even more substantial content and the ensuing plots. Just as Night City lives and breathes through gameplay interaction, so shall the fans-who are ultimately become, with V-know-how. Who knows what’s up next for V, but it sure will be some kind of a tale worth writing!
