A fresh delivery of ambience on Switch 2 has got people talking about those lightning-fast touch controls-the developer dropped a teaser-drawing audiences in with so much tapping and swiping through Inventory menus, Maps, and Perks. It is fast, smooth, and some might even say somewhere futuristic, courtesy of Night City.
Despite some excitement, this has now whetted the appetites of others-so much so that before DLC drops, an Xbox Series X player called out the devs, saying, “Aye before you put out another DLC learn how to fix this game. I’m still getting hella glitches.” So much for being polite. On the flip side, some fans were hyped enough to scream, “THAT’S SO INSANE! 🤯” in glorious capital letters.
Portable play could be huge for touch controls. A user went on to ask if the feature will come to Steam Deck… that would be sick. Not everyone, however, seemed sold on Switch 2’s ability to handle some of the chaos in Night City. “It’s to be expected on a portable,” one offered while another chimed in, hoping for “greater NPC density because sometimes the streets feel a little empty.”
On the other hand, everyone is now trying to hear: “When will the next patch drop?” Some fans speculate the 26th of June, basing their timeline on the last streaming events, whereas others are now refusing to hold their breath and one joined, “At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed.”
The hardware debate continues onto the status of anticipation. One waits for Cyberpunk at 60fps on GTX (low settings but still), and another would love to have it on their future GeForce RTX 5060. Switch 2 defenders said the game looks sharper in several places than the Xbox Series S because of DLSS.
Cyberpunk 2077 is not going anywhere for a while, whether you like it or not. Whether you are tapping through menus on Switch 2 or grinding through glitches on Xbox, Night City will manage to lure its players. If only CDPR can stop leaving its fans hanging with that patch note…
