Cold went on, the only pro gamer with the chillest skills and frigidity oozing from every pore. It just got roasted in the tournament-which is funny now that I think about it! The man actually released a tweet detailing some of the insane trash talk he has been receiving.
No one in the venue was holding back! Insults ranged from “Simple edit trash” to “You’re Cold’s loot llama” (??). Then, this almost absurdly random and strangely personal one came in: “You’ve got flat feet.” I mean, who even notices feet at a gaming event? That’s hate speech of the highest caliber.
But Cold doesn’t care. “I’ll let my gameplay speak for itself,” he states. Classic. No rant or comeback, just confident. That is how one silences the noise. If anyone will back it up, it will be him. He has been downright nasty in the scene for some time now, so haters will want to brace themselves.
So, where was that anyway? Perhaps not mentioned on the tweet, but given the timing, it might be one of a couple of the major events going down at the moment. Given the mention of a “loot llama,” one would have to guess that this was Fortnite (unless this is some new slang we missed). Or perhaps it was Apex? COD? All the mystery only adds to the drama.
Speaking of media attachments, no actual footage can be seen: just an image of Cold who is probably silently smirking while reading these insults. What a man he is: unshakable. Or maybe he’s plotting to utterly destroy everyone in the next match. Either way, we’re totally here for it.
Trash talk during tournaments is nothing new. But this one? Chef’s kiss. It’s creative, it’s personal, and it’s borderline absurd. And that’s exactly why esports is awesome: rivalries, banter, and audacity to yell “You’re an unc” mid-tournament.
Cold’s right, though. Words fade away. Eat clips last forever. If he pulls through his next game, this entire thread instantly becomes meme material. If he doesn’t… let’s just pray that the “flat feet” jokes hit the infinity list way before he does.
That’s what we love about competitive gaming in itself: the skill, the drama, and the impromptu insults pertaining to foot anatomy making all the scenes. And Cold? He’s definitely pulling 4-dimensional chess here: not responding at all. Grab a controller, give them a show, and let the highlights talk.
