Civilization VI launched back in 2016, and since then it has only had one console port. The game was released to Nintendo Switch users, and there was even an iPad port. All versions have received a variety of DLC, and free updates including the battle royale mode released a few weeks ago. All ports are being handled by Aspyr Media.

The game is now being released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 22. This will be the latest major console port for this game since the aforementioned Switch port. Once this game comes onto the console, it will include all the loved concepts and increase the already massive fanbase that Firaxis Games has built.

The controls and UI have both been optimized for controller use. Although there is no current mention of any PC-syncing features for importing saves. This port does come with additional content including free Nubia + Khmer and Indonesia Civ & Scenario packs. These are all bundled with the base game.

The game will allow up to four players to engage in online multiplayer. You can form alliances and outwit the competition at your own discretion but do not forget that your friends are your greatest foes. This chance to play with others is the foundation of what makes the port such a great release.

Rise and Fall is the first major expansion for the game. This expansion makes your choices matter as you inspire Loyalty or risk rebellion. As you drive your civilization further into the future, you may find yourself in a Dark Age, or rise again and trigger a Heroic Age.

Gathering Storm brings natural disasters into the game. Volcanic eruptions or storms can destroy entire districts and improvements. As you adapt to a global ecosystem, you quickly will find that your enemies are not the greatest threat to your massive empire.

No matter the path you take to victory, the world is yours for the taking. Grow your empire and become the civilization that lasts the ages. This game allows players to make their empire whatever they want while striving for several different paths to victory.

The game will cost $59.99 upon its port on November 22. This game can be bundled with Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm DLCs. This will be the first time in over a decade that Civilization VI was released on PlayStation 4. If you like strategy games, then this is a great buy. Keep in mind that this is one of the most infamous “one-more-turn” games on the market.
