In the revival, Fortnite stood next to the Chappell Roan emote, with opinions ranging almost in the poles for its one embrace. An equal number of players get hyped for it, while hordes are cursing that it should be minus one.
Things got violent and Kip-style in the reply sections of the Twitter announcement by HYPEX regarding the return of the emote: half were excited, half were disappointed, and half could only watch the show in utter chaos.
First off, for those who missed it, the Chappell Roan emote has again been added to the Fortnite Item Shop. For any dance emote lovers out there, this has a really bouncy and fun feeling, great for celebrating a Victory Royale-or maybe those silly lobby moments. And some others are less than pleased. Some players consider that “mid” (i.e., average, for those whom the language befuddles); others are begging for “Pink Pony Club” or “100% Pure Love” emotes.
One player, @GooseMetaX, backed up his statement, saying: “Chappell Roan emote? Instant cop, that’s fire π₯.” However, @IAMTHEDAVINCI stated, “Wow these icon emotes are so ass man.” Then @bananalyfgaming dropped a bomb: They want a Chappell Roan skin instead. The tantrums just keep coming.
Adding fuel to the actual drama: a sea of people in the replies are talking about other emotes still in the game. @hyvisruiningme begs for “Good Luck Babe,” @RalphieReptile wants “Pink Pony Club,” and @itsmefishstick is demanding “100% Pure Love” as if their very existence depended on it. It truly is a whole mood.
Here is more drama! @khaled467841465 threw some serious shade: “No body care about this go get a job u homeless.” Very harsh. Then @St3ak3atah compared the Sketch emote to a cockroach, referring to its frequent returns. Then @OmegaEspurr was just flat-out wondering why HYPEX tweeted about this at all, “Bro it’s been like 30 days why are you tweeting this π.”
Of course, not every person was angry. @dancerswhirl screamed, “IβVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!” while @FortKnoxCrypto wanted to “get my groove on π.” So yeah, the Fortnite community is still divided.
And after that? Collabs, streets, new skins, and emotes are wished for by the players, forcing a lot of thinking on Epic Games. Meanwhile, the Chappell Roan emote has gone live again for all those awaiting it, so grab it while you can before itβ disappears yet again.
For the not-so-fan club: there is always next week’s Item Shop update where that emote might finally come into existence. Or maybe it won’t. That’s just Fortnite.
