Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been a massive achievement for Infinity Ward. It furthered the long-running series in a positive direction that — for the most part — many FPS fans have loved. There are many aspects to rave about in this first-person shooter, but its online portion certainly stands out.

There are just so many incredible modes that play out in unique ways, whether you’re looking to engage in battle on open-ended maps or want to fight in close quarters where anything can happen. If you have yet to experience this amazing multiplayer, don’t worry. This portion is getting a free-play weekend starting April 24, as reported by the Call of Duty official Twitter page.

That’s great news if you’ve missed out on this intense and varied action. To have access to this mode, you’ll need to have Call of Duty: Warzone downloaded. You can then enter a special lobby that features five different maps. It will be 6v6 and 10v10 action.

The five maps listed include Hideout, Shoot House, Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyah Incursion. That’s quite a varied list that should give you a great taste of what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has to offer. The maps are all pretty much medium range featuring well-rounded designs, as is the case for Aniyah Incursion and Shoot House.

Infinity Ward has a lot to be proud of with these maps. There are plenty of details as well as strategic locations to master. If you want to get a bit of a head start before these five stages are available in Warzone, then you can access their maps online. You’ll see their exact layouts and can plan strategy with a couple of friends before everything kicks off tomorrow.

It’s awesome to see more gamers getting the chance to check out Modern Warfare’s multiplayer portion. It has a lot to offer no matter what your playstyle is. Gameplay in this latest Call of Duty installment also isn’t that intimidating. You can pick it up with no prior experience of the franchise and have fun.

Of course, there are plenty of guides and tutorials that can fast-track you to success if that’s something you fancy. Or, you can just dive head-first figuring out the systems on your own. It’s all possible starting tomorrow and this free-play weekend is lasting all the way until April 27. And if you don’t have Warzone yet, it’s an amazing battle royale experience as well that’s worth the download. Oh, and it’s free too.
