Season two for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled to begin next week, but its details have been leaked ahead of schedule, as the recent leak revealed the full list of weapons, operators, and more that are coming to the first-person shooter on February 11.

Unlike with most other Modern Warfare-related leaks, this one came via Call of Duty’s official website, which accidentally published the details for season two.

New Weapons

  • GRAU 5.56 (Assault Rifle)
  • Striker 45 (Submachine Gun)

New Operator

  • Ghost – available instantly for those who purchased Modern Warfare’s Battle Pass.

In addition to the new weapons and operator, season two will also bring new skins for existing operators. Also, the game’s second season will feature new weapon blueprints.

Infinity Ward will add over 80 items to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Battle Pass, which is currently available to be purchased for $10.

Also coming to Call of Duty in season two is a map called Rust, which was featured back in Modern Warfare 2. If you’re unfamiliar with it, the map is similar in size to Shipment, so if you’re looking to play on a map where you don’t have to move around a lot, then Rust is the map for you.

While nothing regarding a Battle Royale mode has been announced for season two, some are expecting the mode to be added as a surprise when Modern Warfare’s second season begins next week. Of course, the mode has been rumored since before the game launched back in October of last year, but it’s never been confirmed or teased by anyone at Activision or Infinity Ward.

Also regarding the aforementioned Battle Royale mode, TheGamingRevolution, who is usually reliable when it comes to Call of Duty-related leaks, said that the BR mode in Modern Warfare will be capable of hosting up to 200 players per match. At launch, Modern Warfare was capable of hosting matches with up to 100 players in its Ground War modes, so it isn’t surprising that they’ve reportedly upped the player count for their BR mode.

As previously noted, season two for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will begin on Tuesday, February 11, so if there is any more news regarding the upcoming season, Infinity Ward and Activision will likely announce what’s coming to the game shortly.

Originally, season two for Modern Warfare was supposed to begin earlier this month, but it was pushed back to a later date, and one of the rumored reasons why is because they needed more time to polish the Battle Royale mode.
