The extremely popular Call of Duty Mobile is getting an update that will be sure to attract even more fans to the game.

Late last week, Activision, the developer of Call of Duty Mobile, posted on the r/CallofDutyMobile subreddit the updates gamers can expect shortly.

The most significant announcement is the addition of Zombies mode, coming to Call of Duty Mobile soon.

This mode has become an absolute staple of the Call of Duty franchise, and mobile players have been clamoring for it since the release of Call of Duty Mobile back at the beginning of October.

Zombie Mode is a simple premise with dire consequences. Players bunker down in some apocalyptic, desecrated town and ward off hordes of zombies. Essentially, the longer the player lasts, the more points they get, and the harder the scenario becomes.

Interestingly, the new major Call of Duty that just launched, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, doesn’t feature a Zombies mode.

Infinity Ward has developed the game, and the reason they cite for not having Zombies is that they want to maintain the integrity of the realistic feeling of the world. As much as gamers truly want a real-world Zombie apocalypse, it just doesn’t hasn’t happened yet.

With the lack of zombie massacring with the new Call of Duty, it is a solid feature Activision is bringing in for Call of Duty Mobile.

Features are coming to Mobile this week as well, and some elements have already been launched. This includes Weekly Battle Royale Challenge, Airborne Chip Event, Personal Milestones, FFA Mode and Challenge, 2X Weapon XP (BR Only), and the Call of Duty Endowment Pack.

The updates have already started and are scheduled to drop until November 18.

At the end of the post, the Mobile team mentioned that they are working on controller support for the game. There is no release date for the controller compatibility yet, but they want gamers to know that it is being worked on and will come out as soon as it’s ready.
