According to Reddit user Senescallo, the Battle Royale mode in Modern Warfare will introduce a new, large-scale map, and it’ll have an increased player count. You can take a look at the new map in the image below.

According to the leak, the new Battle Royale mode will allow up to 200 players, thus doubling the amount of the traditional 100 player count. Also, the mode will allow solos, duos, and squad varients.

The upcoming BR mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also reportedly feature something called “Gulag,” where players who have been eliminated will have the chance to do a one-on-one battle with another eliminated player, with the victor being awarded a respawn.

Occasionally, there will be a “jailbreak” which will allow all imprisoned players to respawn. While this is happening, other imprisoned players will get to watch the 1v1 battles, while a clock will count down to their turn. During this, players will also be able to place bets on the two participants to earn Plunder.

The Plunder system will allow players to earn points by achieving in-game goals and by eliminating enemies. Upon earning Plunder, players will then be able to turn the currency into experience points at the various ATMs on the map. Whoever receives the most amount of Plunder after the match will recognize for their efforts.

Also, respawning has been retooled, as players will now be able to loot respawn tokens from eliminated enemies. However, you’ll only be allowed to respawn once in the upcoming 200 player mode.

As of this writing, none of this has been confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward, nor is it clear if this will require players to shell out more money to download the rumored mode. But, according to reliable Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution, the Battle Royale mode in Modern Warfare will be free to play, and it’ll be released in late-January 2020.

There’s a strong possibility that the Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch alongside the rumored Battle Royale mode. But, if you do purchase the pass, it’ll only grant you access to cosmetic items, as nothing in it will have an impact on gameplay.

If the BR mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled to launch in January, then Activision and Infinity Ward will likely confirm these rumors very soon.
