Sometimes games have a particular way of reaching you, your feelings. This was the case when that tweet exploded online, saying Blown away and linking-in with no context or explanation and just pure raw emotion. Sometimes that’s all you need, right?

Well, the tweet doesn’t say much, but damn, it sure carries some energy. One could purposefully assume the author was blown away by something-epic-cut scene, coolest boss fight ever, or just a passing moment of beauty in a game world. Wildly, no one commented back on it, though.

One would assume to see at least some comments popping off, like “SAME” or “What game is this??” But uh, nope. Crickets. Cue stunned silence.

So what on Earth could it be? One of those new AAA titles replete with next-gen graphics? Or could it be an indie darling punching way above its weight class? Or simply some terrestrial who’s been rediscovering an old favorite, getting slapped around by nostalgia like a truck?

We’ll never know unless the OP spills; but that”s sorta the fun of it, isn’t it? A dye for the mystery and the mood.

When you get into that one mood where you just stop and soak in the game-a moment when you step outside the vault in Fallout for the very first time, or when the screen pulls you out into that opening shot in The Last of Us, or when you find some hidden little egg that makes you burst out laughing like an idiot-those moments are magic.

Whoever posted that tweet has been there. And if you’ve ever been rendered utterly immobile because of a game, so have you. Here’s to those moments-the kind that leave you speechless and staring at your screen like “Damn.”

If only we knew which game did it this time. Guess now we’ll just have to wait for the next cryptic tweet.
