Blizzard Entertainment released some updates for Overwatch, which introduce some changes to the characters.
The Overwatch patch notes show that Brigitte now functions more as a healer instead of a tank. For instance, the healing amount for the character has increased to 130 from the original rate of 100. The self-healing from Inspire has also been reduced by half.
As to her repair pack, Brigitte carries three charges while the healing amount was nerfed to 120 from the original 150. The healing also takes effect in two seconds instead of immediately.
Meanwhile, the Overwatch update also made changes to Ashe. For example, the reload time after each round has been reduced to 0.25 seconds from the previous 0.3. According to Blizzard, they need to balance the reload time for Ashe because it used to be “overly restrictive.”
Among the other changes in the Overwatch update include:
– Doomfist — There’s no pause during the ammo reload in quick melee
– Moira — The fade can now be utilized while stunned. This will help her become more useful during area stuns
– Hanzo — The ammo from Storm Arrows has been decreased to 5 from the original 6. The adjustment was needed because the damage output of the weapon was too powerful
– Symmetra — The teleporter will last as long as it’s not destroyed. The cooldown after the ability is destroyed increased to 15 seconds from the original 15. Meanwhile, the maximum reach has been increased to 30 from the previous 25 meters. The infinite duration of the teleporter gives Symmetra an edge because it’s also restricting to utilize
– Orisa — The cooldown from the Protective Barrier has been increased to 9 seconds from the previous 8. The need to adjust this ability was necessary, considering that it comes back almost immediately. Buffing the cooldown will make it more fun to destroy
– Reinhardt — The knockback effects of the Steadfast has been reduced by 30%. This is because, out of all the characters, the knockback effects of Steadfast seem to hurt Reinhardt the most.
– Sombra — The hack duration has been reduced to 5 seconds from the original 6 seconds. Meanwhile, the EMP activation time has been cut down to 0.65 seconds from the previous 0.5 seconds. Cutting back the hack duration was necessary will balance the gameplay
– Tracer — The Pulse Bomb damage was increased to 350 from the previous 300.
Here’s more information regarding some rework for Brigitte and other Overwatch updates.
