Creating an ideal full recipe to divide the crowd, Respawn Entertainment gave an update to Apex. The Bocek bow-with a storied history of being marksmen’s favorite-has undergone gameplay changes this season, with the fans being on either extreme of praising it with vehemence or outright trashing it. Adding to the turmoil, the official Apex Legends Twitter account teased, contradicting: “Bocek goes boom 🤯,” with a clip featuring the Bocek being used in action-its new capabilities included. The reply crowd gave just about every opinion.
Some are very nostalgic about the old Bocek. Shadowfury32 grieved, in a nutshell, “For the Bocek I think you guys butchered one of the best guns that used to be good.” Another player went with a casual-accent while frustrated: “bOO-Kek hipfire sux ass now :(. Ouch. For others, it’s all gain: SaintSagePath just developed a new appreciation for it, declaring it-a number-one-level-marksman-weapon indeed. So what is that? Is it destroyed or just different?
Meanwhile, it went down even deeper into the bigger complaints about the state of the game. Marcel (Twitch_MCL) poured out his acidity: “Ballistic, Ash, Alter bullshit. 20 visual clutter effects when you fight a team, more an ability game than a shooter game.” And yeah, feels. A lot of players do feel that Apex is leaning way too hard into abilities-and glossing aside pure gunplay. Over to P2020 discourse-because somehow, that meme gun is still out there outright embarrassing people in brute-melee fights. User n0ty0uRDaDy broke hearts with the straightforward: “Remove the P20 from the game ASAP.”
Everything is not negative, though. Crypto main hikmet_tatli showed some love: “I know all the hate your getting apex but I just want to come out an say I Love You ❤️.” Aww. Then, H0TSH0T enters with more important matters-give us a shirtless Sparrow skin as if that were the top priority fix Respawn would consider. Honestly? Valid.
Most of the real drama does lie in the arguments about weapon balance. Extuhh and SteveDun engaged in a debate about which weapon has worse recoil, R-99 or Flatline (spoiler: they never agreed). Then we have BigmemeSsb assessing that LMGs are “baby mode” now. Skill gap discussions seem to be heating up, with some players accusing Respawn of catering too much to casuals. MrTally0002 says with no filter whatsoever, “If you havnt noticed the devs are taking all skill out of apex so that the casual players stay more than a day.” Yikes.
Oh, and try not to forget lag complaints. Illinois set the record straight: “Fix. The. Lag. Unacceptable!” That’s a theme that’s been over for a while now.
So where does that leave us? The Bocek changes are polarizing, the meta’s a mess, and the community has got strong feelings-some loving and some furious. And for at least one thing, the community is unanimous in considering Apex Legendary feats on boredom. Whether you are here for the mayhem or just have your finger crossed for the shirtless Sparrow skin, Respawn has their work cut out this season.
