The question of the day was posed by Respawn Entertainment on Twitter and, as expected, chaos followed. The official Apex Legends account asked players, “What combo are you and your duo?” with a graphic worthy of almost every Insta feed showing off all the duo archetypes. But the discourse went extremely mellow, with cries for character pairings, demands for fixes, and of course, the mainstream solo queue circus.
First, the actual answers to the duo question started getting oddly funny. The players went on naming their favorite combos, including some flexing about running “Fuse & Ash before it was meta.” Others took pride in their pairs: “Vantage & Loba” has always been our go-to. Some even joked about a Path duo whose banner crafting and reviving are basically his full-time job. Mood.
And of course, Apex Legends Twitter had to infiltrate the conversation with witty commentary not necessarily centered on fun team comps. Was the next most common response complaining about something: “fix store i cant buy wraith skin,” while another read, “Don’t ask stupid questions, fix your fucking game.” Classic.
Then came the solo ones—oh, the solos. “Sucks To Suck I’m A Solo With No In Game Buds,” cried one poor soul. Relatable. Another roasted Respawn: “So you guys just assume we aren’t Solo Q ?! Worst matchmaking of any game ever.” God, the pain.
A few threatened to get players back if duos ranked ever got introduced, while others just kept rolling on their own skill basterdization, like the one who said, “I always tell my teammates if it gets hectic im running… because for some reason i always missss my shots lol.” Hell yeah, buddy.
Then the randomness returned full force, as did things like “Move that creature away from Loba NOW.” No context, just vibes.
And so? Apex players love their duos, hate the issues the game currently faces, and really never let a single chance pass to roast themselves and Respawn together. Whether you’re having a good time with Ballistic & Ash or just grinding the losses with solo, one thing is pretty certain—this community is a guaranteed belly-roller. If only Respawn would fix this store crap… Just saying.
