Animal Crossing: New Horizons released today as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Many players are now experiencing island life for the first time. \n \nNintendo has announced a few bonuses for those who played the mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Players can still download the mobile game now to take advantage of the special items. \n \nAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available free on both iOS and Android now. \n \n \n \n"If you play the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp game on your smart device (iOS or Android), you can obtain special in-game items that can be used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch (Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold separately)! You'll be able to redeem starting at 11:00 p.m. on March 19, 2020 (PT)." states the official website. \n \nThe first step is to install or open the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app. For those who haven't played Pocket Camp before, there is a short tutorial that may take 10 to 30 minutes they'll have to complete before getting access to the full game. \n \nPlayers will have to head to the "My Nintendo" setting and sign in with their Nintendo Account. From there, they can collect the "Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special Order Ticket." The ticket is a code that is used for AC: New Horizons. \n \nWith the code saved, players can open up the Switch eShop, visit the "Enter Code" page on the left side of the screen, and then input the 16-character download code. \n \nPlayers should ensure their version of AC: New Horizons is up-to-date before moving forward. The next step requires a bit of in-game progress, so make sure to start playing long enough to gain access to the Nook Shop. \n \nAfter updating, gamers should head to the Nook Stop. Head to the Nook Kiosk, then select "Nook Shopping" and then "Promotions." From there, players can access promotional Pocket Camp goodies. \n \nThe items include Pocket Camp's banners and sign, mini RV replicas, a shirt for your character to wear, and a fortune cookie cart. Most of these items don't function the same as they do in Pocket Camp, but they're a fun bonus. \n \nPocket Camp players will receive additional bonuses as well, such as 50 Leaf Tickets, which are the game's paid currency. After downloading the bonus items, gamers can delete Pocket Camp from their mobile devices, but there will be more promotional opportunities in the future. \n \nAnimal Crossing: New Horizons is available now as a physical and digital release on the Nintendo Switch.
