World of Warcraft: Shadowlands brought a massive amount of new content, but one of the primary focuses has undoubtedly been Torghast, Tower of the Damned. This integral dungeon provides players with Soul Ash, a vital resource to crafting legendaries.

So with a new event focusing on the content, many are happy to see that it will make the difficult content easier. Many have trouble soloing the content, so having an event focused on making this easier is a more than welcome change.

The Beasts of Prodigum event will begin tomorrow, the first of three events that will effect Torghast, Tower of the Damned. This event allows players to take control of one of three beasts for their tower run, available from their first anima power.

From there, powers will drop that are related to your beast, helping to buff them and keep them strong throughout the anima run. This is especially helpful for classes that have difficulty soloing Torghast, like Mage or Rogue.

The first beast is Horgrul, Hound of Darkness, a powerful tank-based pet that can stun and taunt enemies. Second is Nal’tari, a support-based pet that can increase the combat abilities of the player and their allies. Third is Valioc, a souleater that can silence enemies and deal AoE damage.

It’s unknown how these beasts will interact with classes like Warlock and Hunter, which already have bonuses for their pets, and whether the beast will also benefit from these bonuses or if they’ll be restricted only to anima powers.

There are plenty of anima powers that have been datamined so far, such as Collar of Teeth, which increases the damage of the Maw Beast by 25%. Others include more beneficial powers like Symbiotic Essence, which causes your Maw Beast’s healing to be increased by 50% and also heal the player commanding it.

It’s also unknown how well this will interact with groups and whether a five-man group tackling Torghast will be given five pets. If this occurs, it will likely make Torghast drastically easier, especially for classes that already control pets.

It’ll be especially interesting for specializations like Beast Mastery Hunter, which can already control two pets. If players are able to tackle Torghast with three minions, it won’t be long until we have an army marching into Torghast.
