Given that this collection includes the first three games in the series, this is a huge deal that doesn’t come around that often. Even still today, this trilogy is one of the best values on the marketplace.

Each game takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. It’s like watching your favorite Indiana Jones movie, only you’re in the driver seat. Nathan Drake is always on a quest for gold, glory, or both. Throughout his epic journeys, he always seems to run into trouble. That’s a huge appeal for this series, though. It creates tension and makes you feel more immersed in the plot that’s taking form.

Aside from action-packed stories, the gameplay in each of these games is amazing. Naughty Dog really knows this franchise well and always seems to improve upon the mechanics in some fashion. The platforming aspects are so fun. There are puzzles Drake is forced to figure out to progress through various levels. He has a bevvy of ways to move around too, including jumping, running, and climbing walls. These movements make you feel like a total parkour legend at times.

Even the combat is pretty impressive. The controls are responsive, whether you’re using a sniper from a distance or taking precise shots with a pistol. The realism has been dialed in perfectly; it’s a reason why so many gamers have fell in love with this franchise over the years. With every installment, the mechanics get better and better. It’s rare that a developer is able to do this in a way that keeps the audience captivated.

There are times when you just want to sit back and go on an epic adventure. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the trilogy to experience for these sort of moments. From start to finish, you’ll be intrigued by the character development, beautifully detailed environments, and realistic combat.
