Recently, Xbox Game Pass tweeted a clip giving some Tony Hawk Pro Skater rests-the-most-favourable-flex that could really be considered. That clip of impossible skating antics was captioned with “this is how you become a GOAT like Tony Hawk.” The game was in motion; the replies? What a ride! The replies were mixed accounts of love, outrage, and clamor.
First off, some people genuinely love it. @iCrazyTeddy did all caps as if he had completed a 900: “Loving this game!!!” Another one, with the twitter @Hardees, said: “This is what it’s all about,” which oddly enough is coming from a fast-food place, but let’s not hassle good vibes. @jeomatrixx gave props to the devs @IronGalaxy and @Activision, called it an awesome game yet lamented not having found the secret tapes. Classic skill issue, really.
Then…oh boy. The complaints were swift enough as if bailing from a halfpipe. Players like @Mesakino and @xIvyBBx begged Xbox to fix GamePass sharing. Full-on begging: “Please fix Gamepass and Gamepass sharing!” shouts one tweet, while another one goes: “How about you fix the game sharing?” Oof then comes the guy, @PandaLee_7, stuck in crash hell: “Nothing but crashing and kicked back to home screen.” Double yikes.
Now for the more chaotic randoms, @DangerMouse104 chimed in with sarcasm: “Cool, I guess. But can you fling out more AI slop please, we’re running low.” Meanwhile, @ElCulero shot Xbox an equally deep question: “But in this case… isn’t your grind a nuisance for the working man?” Deep. Too deep for a skate game tweet.
Oh, and @lucassdovalee delivered this charming one-liner in Portuguese: “Esse jogo vicia,” which is foreign for “This game is addictive.” Pretty much deserving of that. On the other hand, @Official_Malix demanded, “Add nte and wuthuring waves to Xbox,” which…what? Autocrypt fail, or secret skate code? We’ll never know.
By that, Tony Hawk Pro Skater on GamePass continues to be the hype creature of the day, and the players keep the demands going. Some are savoring their dose of nostalgia; some are in technical purgatory. A few are here for the memes. Will Xbox even hear? Not really, but one thing is sure: the skateboarding fandom never dies, whether they’re throwing down sick combos or drowning in crashes.
Just in case you haven’t caught Tony Hawk, maybe do. Just… keep your expectations low if this GamePass sharing thing matters to you. Alternatively, follow @BlackSSJKing’s advice: Just buy wings, watch anime. End of story. The Tony Hawk legacy goes on-glitches and all.
