Summer Game Fest 2025 is being shaped up to be the greatest of all times, for all time has seen over 60+ partners for the event, with Geoff Keighley making the announcement thereof. This global video-game celebration is to coincide with June in Los Angeles, with gamers buzzing around the possible surprises.
In the tweet made by Keighley are almost 65 partners, the names of nothing else! They start with the likes of Capcom and CD Projekt Red and end with huge others, sparking waves of theoretical implications.
Nintendo’s presence among the partners is probably one of the greater surprises somehow. Really, you heard that right. Unexpectedly, the company, which had pretty much remained an absentee at these events, is now taking part in Summer Game Fest 2025. Cue the Switch 2 rumors because that’s just about the only thing on everyone’s mind. One response even joked, “Switch 2 ali como se ninguém tivesse vendo,” meaning “Switch 2 like nobody’s watching.”
Not that many are pleased, though: The absence of studios such as Remedy (‘Where’s Alan Wake 2 DLC?’) and Telltale Games looms large over the festival. “If The Wolf Among Us 2 doesn’t make an appearance…then it’s officially over,” said one uneasy fan.
There are those with hopes, too. One party hopes for Monster Hunter Wilds news, DMC 6 reveal, maybe even a shadow drop for Arc Raiders; they are begging for info on Light No Fire, the super hush-hush new project from Hello Games.
Getting to a full gaming event with drama is unavoidable. Apparently, the thread of replies got into an all-out war about Pride Month and vets, for several hours, because…it is Twitter. Meanwhile, others have been hyping up butcherings from CDPR and Capcom—Witcher and Street Fighter collab, anyone?
So, with the more partners than you can count, Summer Game Fest 2025 could very well turn into a hype-driven circus. Real or not, these rumors are what gamers would keep their eyes on; Complaining would follow, and then waiting for more.
June must be circled; this one would be wild. Anyway, at least finish whatever Geoff Keighley has been cooking for so long. Maybe. Hopefully. Please?
