Streamers of all sizes often host charity streams to help raise funds for those in need. Even developers and publishers host charity drives throughout the year.

Streamlabs, one of the most popular streaming platforms, has announced an easier way for streamers to contribute to their favorite charities.

Though many shop for themselves and loved ones around the holidays, many also give back. Streamlabs is launching its donation platform just in time for those who would instead help others in need.

Streamlabs doesn’t take any cut from tips or donations made to streamers. All of the money goes to the streamer, which helps make it a top choice for many.

Currently, streamers who want to give back often have to install additional extensions or allow extra permissions for charity streams. Streamlabs wants to make it easier by putting everything a streamer needs into one platform.

The “Streamlabs Charity Platform” is Streamlab’s new way of helping bring streamers and charities together. The platform will have a live dashboard where users can track donations plus view others who may also be live streaming for charity.

There are no additional fees from Streamlabs’ end, only the standard PayPal processing fees.

More charities are being added as the new platform grows. According to the official news post, the charities include “Feeding America, World Vision, Make-A-Wish, Americares, Red Cross, Special Olympics, Direct Relief, and American Heart Association.”

Arbor Day Foundation has also signed up for the new platform. Using the hashtag “#TeamTrees,” every dollar donated will go towards planting more trees.

“During this holiday season, the American Red Cross is grateful for corporate donors that generously contribute to our Holiday Campaign,” said a spokesperson from the Red Cross. “Thanks to the generosity of these supporters, the Red Cross is able to bring help and hope to people across the country. Special thanks to Streamlabs for helping us enable streamers to raise donations during the holiday season.”

Signing up is easy for users already part of the platform. They simply log into their Streamlabs account, head to the Charity portal, and choose an active campaign. When the stream goes live, their donation link leads straight towards the official site. There are no extra hoops to jump through.
