New content has been loaded into Final Fantasy XIV for Echoes of a Fallen Star. This update has added tons of minor content to the game, as well as eight new quests being added to the game. As per usual, Square Enix has kept most of the patch’s specifics hidden.
What is known is that some of the quests that the patch is adding still need to be completed before being fully unveiled. All of the quests will require players to be level 60 in their class or job.
One of the more interesting parts of the patch is the addition of “Kupo of Fortune.” This is a game of chance in which players can deliver items for the chance at some interesting prizes. First, players must take their Kupo of Fortune card to Lizbeth in the Firmament. After that, crafting characters must submit items to the restoration effort in order to collect stamps. If you get enough stamps, then you will be able to unlock some really interesting items.
Cosmetically a new hairstyle has been added to the game. The hairstyle comes from the FFXIV Hairstyle Design contest. It looks every Final Fantasy styled and fits perfectly into the game environment. There is also a new emote available within the game for some added flair.
Some Moogle-themed items have been added to the game. This includes a chair that looks like a Moogle and a very odd table set. There are sure to be more items added as future patches rotate, but none will be as adorable as these.
Some gatherer exclusive content has been added to Diadem. These are used in Ishgardian Restoration crafter recipes for some interesting results. If you are into gathering, this is certainly something to check out.
In some odd news, Parasols have been added to the game. By using a Parasol, you can add it to your Actions & Traits and looks adorable with it. New mounts have also been added along with some new Chocobo barding. A ton of new colors have been added to the game’s dye selection as well. For those who love text commands, three new options have appeared within the game.
For more information, make sure to check out the game’s full patch notes. Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game is a paid subscription but still is worth its cost to any Final Fantasy fan out there. This is the go-to experience for a Final Fantasy-themed MMORPG.
