The videos range from Pikachu showing viewers a big smile, while in another contrasting video, Eevee is crying. Nintendo has also released an introduction into the upcoming game.

The official Nintendo page states. “What if you woke up one day, and you were a Pokémon? You can meet and recruit Pokémon in a dungeon-crawling adventure within their world! Build a rescue team to take on mysterious, changing dungeons and strategically plan your moves as you venture forth to make the Pokémon world a safer place… and uncover your true purpose along the way.”

Players can recruit Pokémon on their adventures. As players make more friends, they can build team camps, so their new friends have somewhere to stay. Different Pokémon have various strengths, so players can choose the rescue teams they want to join them in battle.

The game also adds Mega Evolved Pokémon.

The game introduction video is five minutes long and gives players a long look into the game. Pikachu wakes up in a house and meets up with Eevee. The video then shows different regions that players will travel in the game, along with some of the battle sequences.

The game also features watercolor-style graphics and a relaxing soundtrack. Fans of the original games can experience the games they knew and loved told in a brand new way.

Currently, there is a free demo available. Any progress earned through the demo carries on into the full game once it’s purchased. The game will be available both physically and as a digital download on the Switch eShop.

For players unsure of which Pokémon to choose from, the official website contains a mini-quiz to pick the perfect partner. All players have to do is choose a few statements that represent various Pokémon to get their answer.

The game also supports the Nintendo Switch Online service, so players can save their data on the cloud or play online.
