While the countdown was in its final moments… Three, two, one, lift off! Two cherished space levels of Fall Guys got unvaulted, and the community is having way too much fun in the best way possible. Starchart and Cosmic Highway had been unvaulted, awaiting to unleash intergalactic chaos onto bean-filled battle royale. Honestly though, it couldn’t be timed better unless you started counting in terms of ranked mode, which we’re about to get to.
The official Fall Guys Twitter account announced the return with a hype-worthy tweet: “3, 2, 1, SPACE! Play Starchart and Cosmic Highway and more out of this world levels now!” Now imagine an avalanche of party bean emojis in replies, ranging from sheer happiness to some that consist of less pleasant player views on what’s still missing. We’ll get to that dumpster fire later.
Well, the good part is that Cosmic Highway, that crazy neon wild space road where beans get tumbled, bounced, and sometimes yanked into the void, is BACK. Starchart, that puzzle platformer where players with galaxies in their brains separate the… well, others tend to faceplant onto spinning platforms-was there too-and judging by the replies-that’s what the players needed for some serotonin. @FFA_Bean sums up the sentiment quite well: “Feels like 2022 🥹 This 1 week might be better than the entire update. Thanks! ❤” Other responses, such as the one from @NanoLeon3000, reflected excitement in the return of chaos: “So glad to see these 2 again! Miss the other space rounds!”
Who cares, though? Oh, right, because Fall Guys does have a history with vaulting slight effects. Some disappear for reasons? Engine updates? Spaghetti code? Who knows. But then their return is a mini holiday for the community. @PainfulGuy10 nails it on the head saying: “Perfect timing to practice Cosmic Highway (you know, the last classic round I never played before until yesterday for the first time).” Same, brother. Same.
However, in typical fashion however, there were no celebrations popping off for everyone. The absence of ranked play had the players doing the side-eye more than a bean who is calculating a really risqué jump. “@FallGuysGame No ranked play lmao,” tweeted @DDannQ1 while @SMoritz_ bluntly demanded, “Really cool, but where is Ranked?” Then, we also had @TTVZendex_YT throw some shade: “Took just 999 days😂🙄 Are you guys gonna step up with unvaulting the rest? Or is there a chance my future kids are grown up first…” OOF.
But then came the funny responses. @doggofran_ gave us the classic “it’s been 69 years” meme (and quite accurate). Then, instead, @FIERCEDEGAMER offered the crossover idea we never knew we wanted: “I think the world of Fall Guys is ready to join the world of Sky @thatskygame.” Jets of joy-adorable.
Where do we go from here? So, these space levels stand at least for now but players are already clamoring for more out-of-rotation rounds. To take on the question: Will Fall Guys? Or are we sitting around for another 1,000 days as @monkeygamer1802 pointed out in a reply? Only time and surely a cryptic tweet of sorts from the devs shall tell.
