Dodge Rolle Games recently put out an announcement that Enter the Gungeon has sold over 3 million copies across all platforms. In the same announcement, the developers shared their excitement of House of the Gundead’s arcade launch and Exit the Gungeon’s launch onto PC and consoles early in the year.
No date has been given, but at least platforms are available. Fans can finally rejoice at the release of these highly anticipated games. It does not seem that it will be a long wait either as the developers have stated the game will be released early this year. This could mean either the first or second quarter of 2020.
Exit the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon climber that follows the story of the Gungeoneers. It is a continuation of their personal search for absolution that started back in Enter the Gungeon. It is time to leave the Gungeon as it has become a paradox that is collaspsing. Rather than exploring further, the brave Gungeoneers race to their escape.
The Gungeoneers are armed with their same insatiable need to loot everything, their powerful ever-changing weapon, and the trusty dodge roll to help them escape the collapse. Each hero must ascend and escape via a unique route of increasingly difficult leavers while battling against the last and most angry of the Gundead.
Exit the Gungeon is full of bizarre weapons and items, shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, and familiar faces as players battle to escape. There are also hats for the heroes, and everyone loves hats. Although this game is not on console or PC as of yet, it has found a home on the Apple Arcade.
On the other side is Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead, which is a new arcade lightgun dungeon crawl. This game is created by Griffin Aerotech in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Dodge Roll. The game pushes players through an ever-evolving series of floors protected by the dangerous Cult of the Gundead.
Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead will be available as soon as 2020 exclusively as an arcade cabinet that will be ready for public arcades, bars, and home collectors. The game will be playable in both free-to-play and pay-to-play formats in a beautiful high definition style.
Fans everywhere are excited for a continuation of the Gungeon lore. Both games will further players’ understanding of both the Gungeon and loot found within. Make sure to keep up with Dodge Roll Games on more information about both these releases. Also, keep a lookout for anywhere that Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead could appear in your local community.
