Fallout 2 first reached the market in 1998 to both mainstream and critical acclaim. Regrettably, Interplay Studios, its publisher, was engaged in some secretive activities. \n \nThe corporation was in serious financial trouble by the time Fallout 2 was launched. As a result, Bethesda purchased the Fallout franchise from Interplay in the 2000s and created its own set of games in the series. \n \nIn the second game, the player meets a character by the name of Sulik, who might serve as a friend. He was from a village by the Great Salt Water and was looking for his sister, Kurisu, according to his history. \n \nDue to time and money restrictions, the search for his sister was sadly not touched upon in Fallout 3 and was not included in the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's secret feature in the Skellige Islands now makes it seem as though this plot arc may have been completed. \n \nReddit user Spaced-Cowboy recently brought attention to a parallel between Sulik's plot in Fallout 2 and another plot in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. \n \nAn anonymous NPC who says he is looking for his sister is a character Geralt encounters in the game. The Skellige Islands are where the player will later run into a character by the name of Kurisu. \n \nOf course, none of this constitutes proof. That the individuals would have the same name and such a similar origin is, however, a bit of an unusual accident. \n \nAdditionally, Spaced-Cowboy cites a report claiming that Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, the primary quest designer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, was a huge fan of Fallout 2's story. \n \nIn fact, it's one of just two games in the series without a Vault Dweller as the main character. It doesn't prove anything, but it does increase the likelihood that it was intended as an Easter egg.
