Red Dead Redemption 2 is the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to having an amazing story, its multiplayer is full of so many possibilities. They just keep getting better too thanks to the modding community.
From switching out Arthur Morgan for the Joker to photo-realistic re-shades, there are so many mod options in RDR2. A couple of new ones are coming down the pipe from the user JulioNIB.
If you’re a fan of GTA, you’ve probably come across his work. He’s always adding novel elements that keep Rockstar’s games unique and even surreal.
His latest batch involves enlarging animals and letting players actually ride on them like horses. Sounds like something straight out of a dream, but thanks to JulioNIB’s creativity and constant pursuits of giving players fun content, anything is possible.
There’s one animal in particular that’s gaining a lot of buzz amongst the RDR2 community and that’s a pig. There are videos up right now showing this enlarged pig in action. It’s about the size of a hippopotamus. Seeing the user standing next to it certainly is a sight you have to see to believe.
It’s amazing enough to just see these big pigs walking around the open plains, but the mod creator went a step further to make them mountable. It’s definitely a mod you’ll have to check out at some point, whether it’s to impress your friends or to just have some laughs yourself.
That’s not all. JulioNIB is also working on upping the scale for other animals, including wolves and cougars. You’ll be able to mount them as well, which should draw a lot of attention for players riding through town on these now tamed beasts.
It’s important to note that this update — called Pig Rider — is still a work in progress. However, if you want to get your hands on the mod before anyone else, you can pledge $5. That’s not too bad for the chance to go on a wild ride of a lifetime.
As this mod continues to be refined, it’s safe to assume the creator will open it up to the rest of the community. Until then, those that don’t want to pay any money can just enjoy the community’s reactions and videos.
It’s these sort of mods that keep RDR2 relevant and constantly providing players with hours of fun content. Who knows what other mods could be on the horizon?
