Publisher NIS America has formally announced the North America and Europe release of void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium. The title was previously released in Japan in January 2020 on PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.
The title was developed by Nippon Ichi Software, which previously released Disgaea, La Pucelle: Tactics, Phantom Brave, and many more.
NIS America’s YouTube trailer states: “Even in the darkest times, hope is homegrown. Void Terrarium chronicles the story of a robot and a young girl in a world devastated by enigmatic events. Explore hauntingly beautiful ruins in search of food and supplies, outfit and maintain the “terrarium” in which you live, and do whatever it takes to protect and nurture the last surviving human in this care simulator-meets-roguelike title.”
The player takes control of a discarded maintenance robot who takes take of a young girl named Toriko. The robot discovers the dying girl within the scrapyard. Along with the decommissioned factoriAI, the robot works to bring her back to health inside of a terrarium.
It’s up to the player to help Toriko recover in a wasteland of aggressive machines and other mutated creatures. The official website for the game lists more information about the bleak world of Void Terrarium, including some art of Toriko, who lives inside of a terrarium.
NIS America is offering a special collectors edition of the game for those who want a physical release. The Collectors Edition will be released in Summer 2020, which is also when the game launches. In North America, the special edition costs $59.99. Although NIS America has images of the product, it may change when the game is released.
Along with the digital release is a physical Collectors Edition with bonus merchandise. They include the game, Sporific sounds music soundtrack, Status apparatus, “A.I. Love You” lapel pin set, “Tori-Gotchi” lenticular keychain, and “Hand-plucked Hope” poster all within a Collector’s Box. The Collector’s Edition is available for both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 through the NIS America Store, Amazon, or Gamestop (Switch version only).
Preorders for the void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium Limited Edition are available now. A bar measuring the current availability of the Limited Edition of the game is also on the store page.
The game will also be available as a digital release.
