EA Access has been a decent success for Electronic Arts since its initial launch in 2014. For the past few years, it has only been available to Xbox One and PC players, leaving PlayStation 4 fans out of the loop. Finally, the service has come to the PS4, and there’s a whole lot to get excited about.
For those who may not know about EA Access, it’s a subscription service similar to PlayStation Now or Xbox Game Pass. With a monthly fee, subscribers get access to a ton of EA-published games, new and old. EA Access allows players to download these titles directly to their console, no streaming necessary.

While the Xbox One and PC subscription offers a massive library from across multiple generations of gaming, PlayStation 4 players will have a more limited selection of games. Due to the lack of backwards compatibility, only games that were officially released on the PS4 console will be available through the service.
Here is the complete list of the first titles available through the service:
- A Way Out

Along with the library of games, EA Access gives subscribers a few other cool benefits. Members often receive discounts on upcoming releases, as well as the ability to play “trial version” of the new releases before they are available to the general public. Signing up now will get you early access to the trail of Madden 20 just before launch. In the past, EA has also included DLC in the subscription, with both Battlefront and Battlefield 4 content being released at no extra cost for Access members.
Unfortunately, EA Access memberships don’t carry over from console to console, so if you already have a subscription on Xbox One, you’ll need to set up a brand new subscription on PS4. If you’re interested in checking out the subscription, you can do so directly through the PlayStation 4 store. At only $4.99 a month (or $29.99 a year, which ultimately saves you 50%), it’s a pretty good deal.
