Back on June 21, Activision released the remake of 1999’s Crash Team Racing, as CTR Nitro Fueled officially became available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Since then, the fantastic remake of the legendary kart racer has dominated international sales charts, despite the fact that it has had some pretty stiff competition.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled ended up being number one in the United Kingdom and was the best-selling game in Europe for the month of June. On top of that, it was also number one in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia as of June 30.

  10. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The list is, of course, listing games from all platforms, and is taking the sales from both the physical and digital versions of the games into account.

In addition to being the best-selling game internationally, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled has also gotten a ton of free updates since its release, not the least of which is a Grand Prix event, which will end later this month. In it, players will compete for new skins, karts, characters, stickers, and more.

It’s also been announced that all future updates to Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled will be completely free, so players won’t be forced to buy a season pass, or even buy new content individually after it gets released. Also, as of right now, the game doesn’t feature any microtransactions or the option to buy any of the in-game content using real-life money. But, Activision could easily implement a microtransaction option to the pit stop menu at some point in the near future.

On top of adding the Grand Prix event, the team behind Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled has also added a few new tracks and has fixed most of the issues that were plaguing its online experience. They’ve also added new characters and rewards for being one of the top-ranked racers when their Grand Prix event ends later this month.

Also, it seems like the developers are eager to provide the best possible online experience, as players are being given the option to take a survey in order to give feedback to the multiplayer team. It’s a very simple survey, as it only asks whether or not you’ve been enjoying your online experience. Of course, it’s completely optional, therefore it can be skipped.
