The next big update for Halo Infinite is coming in the form of Operation Shadows on August 5. The mysterious tweet from the official Halo account created an explosion of speculation and excitement among the fans. The tweet read: “Risk it all, deny everything 🤐 #OperationShadows arrives August 5,” with a teaser image that fueled debates.
The teaser seemingly shows a new weapon that some players are comparing to Destiny’s Hive guns in design. Some swear it’s the Carbine, the much beloved weapon from the older Halo games. The community stands split, some eagerly waiting and others are doubting. One real-deal must-have thought aloud: “Yea this ain’t Halo anymore.”
The weapons might be pulling in the audience with all the noise. Those with sharp hearing picked up faint prop blade sounds behind the teaser, spawning speculations that maybe the Falcon, a helicopter-type vehicle from Halo: Reach, might finally come to Infinite. Falcon has been a most requested addition, and the files have suggested it has been ready for nearly years! Someone else jokingly said, “I won’t be a weapon model,” in the context of the debate as if the teased is really a weapon or just a skin.
The announcement reignited talks about the future of Halo Infinite. Some hopefuls in the community are like EliteReclaims: “I’ll give it to Halo Infinite, just when I think they’re done updating the game, they come out with another operation 💪.” Then there are the critics, “You guys killed Halo.”
Between all of that, one thing is for sure: 343 is focusing more on the engagement with the fans. Whether it is feeding the community a look at the new content, fulfilling fan demands, or just stirring the pot with a little speculation, Halo Infinite stays in the limelight. One might just fancy quite a few theories before taking a seat for the launch on August 5!
The Falcon? The new gun? Or maybe it fell to something nobody saw coming? At this point onward, it’s time to keep calm and join the waiting game, ’cause one thing is sure: Halo fans are willing to risk the world for it.
