Epic Games has landed yet another huge crossover for Fortnite, and this time, the partner is Nike. The release of this Fortnite x Nike Street Vision bundle should be on Saturday, and players, somehow, are either excited or dubious about the impending drop. The profusion of new cosmetics that make their appearance in this drop sees a number of judges not being outrightly convinced.

Let’s quickly go into the details of what the bundle offers. The complete set of skins and cosmetics will set you back 2,800 V-Bucks, which is about $20-$25, depending upon how one buys it. There are two new character skins: Rove and Eva. If bought separately, those cost 1,500 VBucks each; then there are two backblings valued at 300 V-Bucks each, an emote for 300 V-Bucks, two Pickaxes, and two wraps at 500 V-Bucks each. That’s a lot of drip for one drop.

But the thing is, Fortnite players have opinions. A number of them are really excited about the drop; @Soulbound_TV tweeted, “Street Vision about to cause real-world wardrobe envy 🧥.” Others doubted the quality of the drop; @UnhingedFN wrote, “Probably going to look like some real slop.” Ouch.

There are a slew of complaints ticking around lately: the lack of male skins in the past Nike collabs being some heavy hitters. @sonny_melia pleaded, “Praying it has male skins this time as the Adidas one had all female skins,” while @CyberpunkFN is still stuck waiting for “kicks per skin option,” because apparently, sneakerheads in Fortnite have standards.

And the facade ensues as to whether they’re even gonna look good. @lester_lis26611 pleaded, “Please let them look good… the last few sets are awful,” while @Bakrfgv3 just hopes that they’re “actually human skins and not whatever the fack some of these other ones were.” Very fair.

Of course, there are some whose excuse is that they’re not ready for the fashion parade. @Floofy_Paws2008 said this collab is “garbage shit” and that Epic “should focus on making the game better.” Harsh, but hey, not everyone can like every collab.

Then of course, we can never forget the Deadmau5 fans (yeah, there is one or two out there somewhere). @TheDesolateAnt_ wrote, “Another day waiting for deadmau5, I feel like I’m going to lose my mind very soon.” Priorities, people.

So will this one be a hit or miss? Friday will be the judge. Either way, the moment anything sparks chatter among players, you can be damn sure that Fortnite has netted a few V-Bucks.

If you’re into virtual streetwear, this could very well be your time. Just don’t expect everyone to agree on your taste.
