The DIVISION 2‘s PAYDAY-themed premium pass seemingly became a social media subject, especially thanks to Ubisoft’s tweet about it. With just a week left to grab those exclusive outfits, the community is divided about the opportunities, with some excited, and others outrightly calling out the prices and unlock requirements as a tad unfair.
So, what is going on? The premium pass was originally being sold at 2000 Premium Credits but is now half-priced at 1000 credits. Some caps, however… even after securing the pass, they still have to dish out additional credits to unlock certain masks and outfits, and many Agents are not about to let this one slide.
@Berts_cave went so far as to describe the pricing as “scummy” and said Ubisoft is trying to get money from anyone to top an already ridiculously-priced pass. @AUSSIEGOD1 was just as harsh saying that that bundle isn’t worth $30AUD for just two outfits and one mask.
Not only are the prices causing waves. Some players, like @cbthebuilder, are wondering why they mysteriously paid for and unlocked everything but are still missing that last mask. Meanwhile, @Nine9005 was probably not so cryptic about the PAYDAY gang robbing their stash, hinting at an unfixed bug.
On the nostalgia side, however, players like @Vylnation are now comparing this event to others, like the Resident Evil crossover, where outfits were free. But now it’s “Bring me premium credits, please,” and that seems to be turning several players against Ubisoft, accusing them of milking the player base.
Sure, some smiles in there, but largely, there are already players unlocking everything like @Alvador816 instead of Selective for what they actually want like @FunLovingKate, hoping for a few restocks onto the apparel store.
But here comes the real kicker—Ubisoft hasn’t uttered a single word regarding this backlash. Just a half-hearted shrug over pricing adjustments, ignoring any missing rewards fixes, and just barely acknowledging that their customers have put forth complaints. Players really will be on thin air with nearing a week left to end.
So where to without proper history? According to the story, Ubisoft might keep quiet for the longer part, only to drop their few extremely vague updates on patch notes toward the end. Or hey, maybe they actually do have a cure up their sleeves. Get ready for an intense division.
And, if you’re still unsure if the pass is worth a purchase, then thankfully you get seven days to decide if you want to grind or just drop some cash.
