Capcom released a fiery announcement for the long-awaited arrival of Arch-Tempered Rey Dau in the Forbidden Lands. It is a fixture. No longer does one have to wait for a limited-time event, or pray to RNGesus to get a chance to fight that beast. It is now a permanent quest, and players have their sweet time participating in the hunt. Let me add that Arch-Tempered Uth Duna is still lurking around in these lands, just to amp up the agony twice over.
Well, the players did have some thoughts about the announcement: an opinion spectrum from those who will be more excited about it to those slightly less so. For instance, Rave Crab 🦀 🇺🇲 responded: “Cool, when will I get THE UTH DUNA MINI CROWN ðŸ˜,” for honestly: crown hunting is an entirely different kind of torture. Meanwhile, Hamza Fahim descended from above with an offer of assistance, “I’ve helped so many people get crowns. Got them all from base game. Let me know if you need any.” The Monster Hunter community staying wholesome even while grinding for those pixelized trophies.
There exists Prince Kanbatsu shouting: “Make it able to spawn capcom.” Dude, they just made it permanent—what more do you want? Then MHD hits them with the real request: “let me layer over akuma.” Because fashion hunting is the true endgame, and we all know that.
However, some didn’t celebrate. DorkDroll brings up the elephant in the room: “I would love to fight him but you need to… Fix pc port plz.”‘ The PC version has been nothing but a mess, and players just won’t let it go. Then there is Arul, begging outright: “please make uth duna permanent too🥺🥺🥺..can’t wait to release arch temper lagiacrus and steve.” I Myself, Jonah Javalina, had to shatter their hopes by replying, “I doubt they’ll do AT Seregios or lagiacrus. At the moment, only the inclemency apexs and arkveld are scheduled for them.” RIP to all Steve lovers.
Then started the usual “grant us MH classic collection on PC/console” requests because Monster Hunter players do not shut up about ports. Now it’s kind of a tradition.
So, what’s the takeaway? Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is here forever, Uth Duna is still kicking, and the Monster Hunter community is still unbridled. Whether grinding for crowns, begging for PC fixes, or vibing with layered armor requests-Monster-Hunt is one world wherein Capcom kneels. If only they could fix that PC version…
