Alright, Dragon Ball and Fortnite enthusiasts, buckle up because there is a crossover in the works. That’s right. After fresh leaks came from credible sources such as @SamLeakss, the new Dragon Ball x Fortnite wave is rumored to be in production. And pretty much…there had been major reactions from that point onward.
So where did this leak come from? I guess it’s too vague to be understood, and the rumor mill is working overtime. Gamers all over are throwing their own wishlists: some are saying Buu or Broly; others are clamoring for fusions (Gogeta or Vegito, anybody?), and then there are those wanting essentially any kind of Super Saiyan God as of now. C’mon Epic, give the people what they want!
Hold up; not everybody’s excited about this. A few players are skeptical, wondering why we have another Dragon Ball wave while other collabs from anime (One Piece and Naruto, we’re looking at you) languish in limbo. Another person plainly asked, “We ain’t never getting One Piece, are we?” Harsh, but… in some way, fair?
Some doubt if Epic has any say in these collabs at all. Another said that the licensing might be the real big bad here rather than Epic being willing or unwilling. If the rights holders say no, there is only so much money can do. And to be honest, I can live with that.
Meanwhile, Dragon Ball fans are out there making their case. One player called the series “one of the most influential pieces of media,” which is… really hard to dispute. But then haters comes in, Bermuda calls it trash, and then fans went on with “haters, just ngl.” The drama is chef’s kiss.
Oh, and remember the weirdness of the whole replies? Somewhere amidst this very thread, one random voice shouted “JESUS CHRIST LOVES YALL AND HE DIED FOR YALL.” So… okay? Thanks for the reminder, I guess. Then another person just wrote “OH MY GOD” in all caps. Mood, indeed.
Real question: so what is actually coming? Leaks claim that there will be updated skins for the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima series, maybe even SS3 Vegeta. Others are shouting “VIDEL!” (Justice for the queen, please) whilst mythic weapons must be returned again and again, or else we riot.
In a nutshell, another Dragon Ball x Fortnite collab looks almost confirmed. Will it satisfy the hype? Your guess as good as mine. But what is certain is that gamers are definitely going to roar about it. Hyped, or knock-“tired of the same-old crossovers,” this shall definitely prove an interesting thing to watch.
Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to pray for One Piece again.
