ASUS ROG just set the bombshell with their latest collab: Hatsune Miku-themed gaming gear and the internet is mad! From motherboards to graphics cards, to monitors, and even apparel, this neon bunch is a wishlist come true for any Vocaloid fan and PC builder. Only a handful of creative minds are enjoying this, while some gamers are already side-eyeing those prices and grossly missing components.
While ASUS ROG officially teased the entire product range in a tweet, some designs are still waiting for the green light. The reaction was pandemonium. Some gamers were yelling in enthusiasm, side-eying the lack of options for things like RTX 5090, some were resigned to watching their wallets being emptied.
User @tkn0801 sounded the mood: “NO. WAY. IM SCREAMING I NEEEEEED🥹🥹🥹” While @tkos_ttv sighed and said, “…(sighs)…I’ll get my wallet.” Same!
But not quite really enthusiastic. Here are some of the salted gamers, such as @Adofan_makema: “I was really disappointed that there was no third Eva model.” Another user, @dzevanavea, theorized that ASUS was holding their best grasshopper (think rumored 5090) for an additional anime collab, maybe even Evangelion-type. Mean, ain’t it?
Enter the pragmatists. @yuanwangnan just wants to ask: “Where BTF is it?”” (Back-to-front PCB design for all not deep into the rabbit hole of PC-building.) And @darknessblades is asking for a 1600x800mm mousepad because honestly, why not?
Hype is real, and so are concerns. @Ri58995851 pointed out that the Asuka bundle was “expensive as hell,” so this Azure might very well be no different. @SpartanDraco went on to lament his recent PC upgrades: “fuck, I wanted something like this on my PC and it comes out now when I already got the 4080 super and the ROG motherboard :c” Oof.
Meanwhile, @jenaxu_ is laughing and shaking their head because they just snagged the Chinese-exclusive Miku motherboard before ASUS went global with this announcement. Classic.
Un. Forget. Table. Is. @VeeGeeA_Media, who is saying that they want to “review this ASAP” and practically begging ASUS to send them one. That vibe strikes @hexbyte_ as well, who is screaming “I NEED HERRRRRR RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH 🗣️🗣️” into the void.
So, what’s actually in this lineup? Those consist of a motherboard, GPU, monitor, and apparel, all dripping with that signature teal-and-blue Miku aesthetic. The monitor, in particular, is causing some to question whether the Hatsune Miku display is there to stay or just wallpaper. (@tokenslol pitched the real question.)
Bottom line, ASUS ROG knows their crowd. Anime collabs sell, and this one is hitting all the right notes-even if it is lacking a few dream specs. Whether you’re ready to actually drop cash or you’re just here for the vibes, this collab is the gaming flex of the moment. Now if you’ll excuse us, we need to go track down that product page.
