Maybe Ultron crashed the gala, but the real chaos was unleashed by the players. The Season 2.5 Content Incentive Event winners were recently announced by Marvel Rivals; some are celebrating while others aren’t exactly popping the champagne just yet.
The official tweet by Marvel Rivals thanked the creators for their contributions to the “glamorous showdown” and gave out the names of the winners. The attached picture unveiled all the winners while the details on how the prizes were split got relegated to a different link. Some players indeed rejoiced, like @dejunamr that said, “TY ALL 💜💜💜,” while others expressed… stronger feelings.
@jesseboyie23 called the game mode “extremely terrible,” echoed by @wendigohanni, who basically gave up halfway out of boredom. Then we had @MotherSett spamming “DELETE BOT GAMES!!!” as if that were a declaration from the very bottom of their soul. Yikes.
That said, not all responses were just salt. Some players took the opportunity to beg for some changes-@VTuberASMRFan demands an Emma Frost buff or @Icepeppercold calls for a Jean Grey rework; others, like @Colion, are just hopeful they can at least get an eyeball on the slick Ultron skin from the event; and @hassanshokr6 is already dreaming away of a Switch 2 port.
Meanwhile, the real drama was going on as the servers started acting up. @Brandino1103 panicked about error codes, while @VegitodickSuckr blamed the 20-loss streak on “dog teammates.” Then the real big one was dropped by @Syncccc1: “Remove EOMM, your game is dying.” Yikes.
A little bit of wholesome in between the chaos included @Revory11 giving mad love to @dejunamr for their content and @StrawHatG3 basically stating, “congrats for the winners.” Although very likely, the true highlight was the shocked “Wait I won something 👏🏾😭” followed by a hype selfie by @Draped_InARMANI.
Now, what’s next? Season 2.5 is behind us, and the players already have their eyes set on Season 3. Marvel Rivals players ask how to get in on the upcoming events, and @Mrreviews95 is asking whether we are going to get to see the return of old maps. Hey, maybe Marvel Rivals might actually start paying attention to feedback—at least one eye for that Ultron skin.
The one clear thing: Whatever side you are in, the Marvel Rivals community will not go quietly into the night. Well, that chaotic win, I would say, is quite a reward.
