It doesn’t come much more potent with the nostalgia bomb than this PlayStation The Concert has been confirmed, and ticket sales are now underway for the US, Canada, and EU. They hinted at a very familiar tune from the tweet (never to be said aloud, of course, leaving gamers to speculate), and within minutes, everybody were up in excitement and a bit of rage.

So what does PlayStation The Concert really entail? Pretty much what it says—live orchestral performances of some of the most well-known tunes from PlayStation history. Picture the grand themes of God of War, a rush of Uncharted beats, and perhaps a splash of Spider-Man. This one-time concert looks to be celebrating some of the jazziest game soundtracks, and judging from the reactions, the players are definitely chuffed about it.

Naturally, of course, there were some less-than-thrilled responses which occurred when PlayStation was called out on a canceled show in Germany, which for some, like Ricardo Smania, felt like a slapping. Others, like Juliano Silva, were dismissive: “Nobody cares about this, where are the games? You guys are dead.” Ouch.

Price debate is ongoing. Lu’Cíe demanded regional pricing for Latin America, tagging #NoAlDolarPSN-a clear indication that not all regions are being treated equally. Meanwhile, Suverene is just trying to figure out how much tickets will be in the States because concerts are hardly cheap these days.

Back to the actual prospect of hearing that mystery tune, some gamers were there for it, not the logistics. CamoteQ8614 apparently couldn’t pinpoint the tune but definitely felt the urge to be there. Pixel and Shoaib Khan had already secured themselves a front-row seat mentally in this nostalgic trip, while OnlyOnePacManYBNL compares the emotional impact of the concert to loading a modded GTA account for the first time. That’s an odd comparison, but okay.

And, you know, anything from the house of PlayStation would see people asking for more features. SD McLovin used this opportunity to ask whether they could mod DualSense LED colors and Bluetooth headphone usage becesto apparently white lights and wired audio don’t cut it anymore.

Thinking back to the mystery song? A few were guessing God of War Ragnarök (thank you, Samantha J. Foster!), while others just shrugged: “Sounds like a cash grab, but hey, who’s buying me a ticket?”

Whether you go for the Band, the Memories, or just to see if PlayStation finally does something for once, one thing is clear: Game soundtracks really now have been put forth as art form, and this concert is proof of that. Real question: Are they playing the PS1 startup sound as an encore?

Tickets are up on sale now. Anyone in US, Canada, and EU better get on it before said tickets are all gone! Thinking regional fixes and LED colors? You better be waiting for forever! Priorities, people!
