This year’s Pokémon GO Halloween event, like last year’s, will bring several Shiny and Mega Pokémon to the mobile game in honor of the spookiest time of the year. Niantic’s mobile app’s selection of pocket monsters has slowly expanded, thanks to the game’s regular updates and special holiday events. Since its inception in 2016, Pokémon GO has held a Halloween event, and this year’s celebration will bring brand new, possibly horrifying Pokémon to the streets.

Pokémon GO’s chilling and exciting in-game Halloween events are the perfect way to get into the spooky October spirit. For example, Niantic included a slew of Halloween-themed Pokémon and clothing in the game last year. In addition, monsters with fitting themes, such as Phantump and Trevenant, and raids against creatures with relevant articles, such as the Galatian Slowking, were added to the alternate reality title.

During the Halloween event, Ghost-types spawned more frequently thanks to a Special Research narrative, and Pokémon GO acquired some cute costumed versions of Pokémon like Pikachu and Piplup. Like its predecessor, this year’s Pokémon GO Halloween event will feature a slew of autumnal celebrations.

An initial portion of the Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 event has been detailed in a new blog post. During this scary season, the Mega Raid boss Mega Banette will be introduced, while ghoulish Pokémon such as Zubat, Haunter, and Dusclops will show up more frequently in the wild. Both the Noibat and the Galarian Yamask will be available to hatch from eggs, making them easier to get for players during the Halloween 2022 event.

Players can complete themed Field Research missions to encounter eerie animals like Shuppet and Duskull.

Niantic’s annual tradition of celebrating the spookiest day of the year with fresh obstacles to overcome and Pokémon to catch will continue this year.
