A recent trailer for the much-awaited Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 revealed more details on Thinbloods. Thinbloods are regarded as the second-class vampire citizens in the game.
But while other classes appear more powerful than them, their abilities are equally unique and powerful. In fact, they have the abilities of their early editions counterparts. Thinbloods are also more powerful than PnP counterparts.
Game developers at Paradox have given a sneak peek of the Thinbloods first abilities and players can choose among these. The disciplines include Chiropteran, Nebulation, and Mentalism. Each of these disciplines is powerful once players master how to use their abilities.
In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 the Chiropterans take the classic forms of vampires – the bats. Players who chose this discipline will get the ability to fly. Glide is what the game calls it and this ability can be used in reaching challenging areas.
The Chiropteran discipline can also call in a swarm of bats, an ability called the Bat Swarm, to attack enemies. These bats can also be used as a shield to protect players.
Players who choose the Nebulation discipline can experiment on how to use the Mist Shroud. This ability provides stealth power to players giving their enemies a hard time to see and hear them.
Turning into a mist also helps in passing through small areas like wall gaps. It can also be used to choke enemies to death by enveloping their lungs from the inside.
Lastly, the Mentalism uses the power of telekinesis to grab weapons and make use of inanimate objects. The abilities include pull and levitate. The latter helps players to throw a person or more on the air and suspend them.
These powers, once fully upgraded, can grow stronger where players can levitate more people or move a bigger area.
Based on the story, Thinbloods will get attracted to Seattle, a place where they feel more accepted. However, some of their kind do not survive long in the city.
Those who can get the hang of the City could grab more opportunity as they rub elbows with powerful vampires.
While the game’s second-class vampires appear to be unwanted and despised at, they still got a fighting chance. Thinbloods might be weaker compared to other clans but they got tricks too.
The game is written by Brian Mitsoda, who is behind the original game. The game won’t be out until the first quarter of next year. For those who are eager to get it, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 game can be pre-ordered now.
