Then there is Obsidian’s Avowed – the fantasy RPG “Skyrim, but bigger budget.” Just picture heavy philosophical theory discussions with your party while you’re throwing fireballs. Nerd heaven.
Another game down South – South of Midnight? Well, if Faulkner wrote it and someone laid it over a blues record, you got it down. Odd bits of magic, haunted bayous, and probably at least one character who says, “Bless your heart,” before cursing your bloodline. Sign. Me. Up.
And then DOOM: The Dark Ages. BRUH. Take the rip-and-tear formula and throw it into a medieval meat grinder. You’re chainsawing dragons to a Latin choir. That soundtrack could power a small country.
Cue Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which is going to be turn-based strategy like Final Fantasy but directed by Guillermo del Toro. It’s got that dark atmosphere and mystery that should probably get you crying when your favorite character dies.
No official dates (very classic tease), but all are game-pass day-one confirmed. So, shut down your social life, stock up your fridge, and settle your excuse to call in sick for a week.
