In the past, sharing of game screenshots as well as videos using the Xbox One console has been notably troublesome all through its whole life cycle. A lot of users have voiced their concerns regarding this issue. And the good news is that Microsoft has taken heed and addressed this matter.

However, there’s a slight catch, Xbox One users would need to download and use a separate application to help them share the screenshots or videos of their games or activities.

Following the successful beta test which was held a few days ago and covers the two features of the application, Xbox users are now able to download their game clips or screenshots directly from their phones, and share them with their friends or on their social media accounts using the newly updated Xbox App for both iOS and Android devices.

The Xbox App was previously known in its earlier release as the SmartGlass.

The latest update of the application includes the full release note that reports how users can now easily save the game clips and screenshots on their mobile phones, and share these files with their friends.

These new options can be accessed by going to the Captures page and then clicking the existing share button.

As posted on Twitter by Larry Hryb, the director of programming for Xbox Live and better known as Major Nelson on his Xbox Live Gamertag, users may now have the option to directly share their videos or screenshots on their social media accounts such as Twitter, Discord, Instagram, Email, and even iMessage.

The application is a helpful and highly convenient tool for users of Xbox One console as it allows their gamers to add or remove friends, connect with their friends, view their friend’s activities, look at their current achievements, as well as starting up game downloads without the need to open their Xbox One consoles.
