Wargroove is a game that can capture hearts easily. The game has been likened to Advance Wars in terms of strategy. Even if the game has a lot of heavy strategy and interesting characters, its grinding pace and extreme difficulty have turned off a lot of gamers. However, an update has been recently released and its goal is to address the complaints from the gaming community.

The quality life changes brought by Chucklefish will overhaul the difficulty settings of the game. The game has now five levels, and they’re custom, hard, medium, easy, and story. The game’s default setting is hard, and gamers have more options now.

The default setting is hard because the standard rules can be found at that setting, and it’s the mode where gamers can get S-ranks. Medium mode is easier, and players can only obtain three stars max.

The easy mode restricts gamers to two stars, and the story mode restricts them to one star. The story mode is really easy but it’s not challenging at all, and it will be hard and long for a player to upgrade.

The game became easier because gamers can checkpoint their progress while doing campaign missions. If a player fails on a mission, he can restart from the point in the game where he stopped.

Players can set checkpoints whenever they want. However, they can only have one active checkpoint at a time. If a player sets another checkpoint while he still has one, his previous checkpoint will be overwritten, as explained by the game’s developer on their website.

Other additional features of the game are gamers can now include CPU players. Players will be asked before joining a match to confirm they don’t have any other match in progress.

There’s a lot of Quick Play fixes such as players can no longer pause Quick Play bouts so they can run other games because their gameplay should be real-time.

There are additional seven maps made for co-op. The issue where a user couldn’t enter online multiplayer has been fixed. The issue where the main menu can’t be invoked during the AI turn of an opponent has been fixed.

There are new options such as add movement speed, and damage range options. There are also fixes and tweaks such as all teams can be properly displayed in 2v2 matches, and Ryota’s groove has been changed so he can dash through his units.

The recent update also includes choices to speed things up. Chucklefish states gamers can now skip battles, and cutscenes and captures are even faster. There’s also a movement speed choice so units can move quicker.

Wargroove can be played on Xbox One, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. There would be a PS4 version soon.
