Think Riot Games just dropped the latest set of Champions skins for VALORANT, and uh… what was I saying? Oh yeah! The community is surely flipping out with fury because it looks almost exactly like an older skin?? Would you look at that, they say the Champions 2025 Vandal is a shameless project-stolen from the E.X.O. skin of yore. The players will NOT have it.

This all started when the official VALORANT Updated Twitter account posted a neat side-by-side comparison with the cryptic caption: “I genuinely can’t tell the difference… Can you?” And oh boy, they were right. The two skins look more than just alike; they share almost the same color scheme, have almost indistinguishable design elements, and some players even claim the animations are the same! So if you bought the very expensive limited-edition Champions bundle, congratulations: you basically bought an E.X.O. skin with a paint job!

One user, H0UND, tore through the replies with: “woah it’s almost like they recycle the same 4 animations every year and only give us cheap knock off versions of other skins they know sell well because we already own them lol.” And honestly? They might be on to something. I mean, how many variations of the same skin can we do before it gets old?

But the thing is, the Champions skins are supposed to be special. They are limited edition, released only once a year and meant to be the very best from the competitive scene. So, when players put down real money on these bundles, they want something unique and of high quality. Something that doesn’t look like it could be a mere recolor of something already in existence.
