Everybody’s going crazy since Riot Games dropped the news about the VALORANT Champions 2025 Event Pass. And this is not really a good kind of crazy. Back when the official VALORANT Twitter account tweeted about being able to unlock items through the pass, the replies descended into bug report territory. A huge thud moment, really.
Someone apparently has a huge problem with Arcane Gauntlets and Champions 2025 Flex. So somebody is logging in to see if they can have an aesthetically pleasing time tricking out something, and… poof, they’re gone! Moreira then posted footage of the default knife showing up in the game rather than the paid-for cosmetics-the very nightmare of every VALORANT player. Dropping cash for default gear? Oof, that hurts.
The VALORANT University (those datamining legends) tagged the community managers with “Bug with Arcane Gauntlets and Champions 2025 Flex,” kind of a professional way to say, “y’all broke something REAL bad.” And DenjiMX just goes “WTFFFFF mine are gone” to pretty much summarize the situation. Panic is real.
Anyway, before I lose myself in it–Oh, yeah, the fancy Event Pass cosmetics. The tweet showcased some fancy items you could unlock through the Champions 2025 Event Pass. There’s the snake-themed flex which Pryrax says “goes crazy,” and that is an understatement. But you know…can anyone really use them? I mean, that seems to be the million-dollar question at the moment.
While the circus carries on, players really want answers to the basics. Berryshork wants to know if the champ bundle is out yet; Fragile just asks “When is it out?”, as though they’ve not been refreshing the store every five minutes; and IAM_LUCKY47 asks the real philosophical question: “Give a mainline weapon skin. Why always spray and Buddy’s?” Preach. We all want those primary weapon skins, not just cosmetics for our cosmetics.
Then Joshdachu_ threatens to steal the spotlight by complaining about how the console version is still unavailable in Australia after being out for more than a year; yeah, that’s a completely separate issue, but while we’re on the subject of VALORANT woes, toss that in too.
The weirdest part about this? Riot hasn’t even gotten to acknowledging the bug in the replies. They just dropped the Event Pass news and just left the arena while players ran around with missing cosmetics. Announcing a party and forgetting to unlock the doors? All guests standing outside with tickets like… um hello?
VALORANT has had enough cosmetic issues in the past. Remember those times when some gun skins will simply refuse to load correctly? Or when a particular animation will bug out mid-match? Now disappearing items? That is some next-level stuff. And we’re talking about Champions-level items here, so… oh, it hurts.
Oh, it is crazy, though, how fast the community was able to pinpoint it. Within hours of this tweet, people were comparing notes and seeing that it was not just them. The VALORANT community might bitch a lot, but they report a lot of bugs, too. Essentially, they’re thousands of free QA testers working overtime.
The timing could not have been worse-with a Champions season launch, an event in everybody’s hype period-and everybody’s putting money into this game. People want to strut around in new gear and support their favorite teams through this pass. But disappearing in the mid-game? Nah, that’s a buzz kill.
But dearly, despite the bugs, the actual Event Pass content is still mad sick. That snake flex that everyone’s been talking about? That’s certainly going to be an item made ultra-rare and highly sought after. Hopefully, if they fix it sometime… And the Arcane Gauntlets? Oh, God, those have been a hit since day one.
It’s your typical VALORANT: quality content with just enough hijinks. It’s been around for years but still sets these funny moments where things just drop dead in the weirdest ways. Remember when Kay/o ult just attempted not to work at all sometimes? Or those map geometries that caused players to be stuck in their own little map cages. Good times.
At the end of the day, we’re just asking for our cosmetics to actually work 90% of the time. Is that asking too much? Apparently sometimes yes. But hey, it’s working for the community. The replies are oozing with “That blend of irritation and hilarity” that is just the essence of gaming communities. People mad, but they’re laughing about it. Much better than angry-screaming.
Let’s hope Riot fixes this sooner rather than later because no one wants to be spending money on things that might go poof and vanish right before their very eyes. And Australian console players? They’re still waiting for literally anything. Maybe next year, guys. Maybe next year.
